Minor Basilica of San Francisco de Asis, Havana, 2018
(Collaboration with Sunlay Almeida)

The Basilica San Francisco de Asís, wears a mask to hide its anomaly. Like any basilica, symmetry and axiality is a requirement, however it has an asymmetrical background that is hidden by a set of perspectives from the background painting.

For this musical / spatial intervention of Sunlay Almeida we wanted to use the chorus to distort the false symmetry and aloud that the music reached the audience with a certain imbalance.

The use of a simple geometry, opposed to the directionality of the space, produced a concert without masks.
